Overview

Gangasagar is a place of Hindu Pilgrimage. Every year on the day of Makar Sankranti (14 January) / Poush Sankranti, Hundreds of Thousands of Hindus Gather to take a holy dip at the confluence of river Ganges and Bay of Bengal and offer Prayers(Puja) in the Kapil Muni Temple.
The annual GangaSagar Mela started on 8th January continue to 16th January in every year.
The Gangasagar Pilgrimage and fair is second largest concretion of mankind after the triennial ritual bathing of Kumbha mela/ Kumbha snnan.

Itinerary Detail

1. Starting point of the tour: Esplanade-kolkata(Dharmtalla).
2. Our bus journey will start at 7.30AM(13/01/2022)
3. Reporting Time: 7.00AM.
4. Packate Breakfast will be served on bus.
5. Journey to Namkhana- Bakkhali. Via Diamond Harbour.
6. Reach Bakkhali at 1.00PM. and get into hotel and refresh yourself.
7. 2.00PM: Lunch will be served in hotel.
8. 4.30PM: Tea break.
9. 5.00PM: Approach Bakkhali SEA BEACH and enjoy the evening with Snacks and Tea.
10. 7.00PM: Return to hotel.
11. 8.00PM: Have your Dinner and take your Bed.

Day 1

    9. 5.00PM: Approach Bakkhali SEA BEACH and enjoy the evening with Snacks and Tea.
    10. 7.00PM: Return to hotel.
    11. 8.00PM: Have your Dinner and take your Bed.

Day 2

1. At 3.00AM. break your night sleep and enjoy your bed tea and quickly refresh yourself.
2. At 4.00Am. /4.30Am. our bus journey will start for ‘’ SAGAR MAKAR SANKRANTI SNNAN’’.
3. 5.00AM: Reach Namkhana Launch Ghatt.
4. Every Passanger should stand for queue for Boarding to Launch(This Launch service will be provided by West Bengal Govt. No private or Reserved Launch service is available for this . We request all the ‘’Tirtha Jatri’’ to please follow our guideline and cooperate with our Volunteers all the time.
5. 6.30AM: (Around) Reaching Chemaguri and then getting from Launch we will wait for toto/Auto/car/Motor van to reach Gangasagar to perform MAKAR SNNAN.
6. After performing the Makar Sannan and Kapil Muni Puja we will take our Breakfast at Gangasagar and then we will return to Namkhana in the same manner.
7. Return Bakkhali at around 12.00/12.30PM. and get into hotel.
8. Take your Lunch at 1.30PM. and take a little rest.
9. 3.00PM: We will go for Local sight seeing.
10. Return to hotel at 6.00PM. and enjoy this evening with Snacks &Coffee on the Sea Beach.
11. 9.00PM: Have your Dinner and take your Bed.

Day 3

1. Morning Bed tea will be served in your room.
2. 7.00AM: After breakfast we will start our local sight seeing.
3. 10.00AM: Return to our hotel for refreshing and packup your Luggage.
4. 11.30AM: Take your lunch at hotel.
5. 12.30PM: Our return bus journey to Kolkata and say GOOD BY to Bakkhali,Gangasagar and BABA KAPILMUNI.

So, We have decided to stay in Bakkhali Island. Bakkkhali is famous for its Sea- Beach and River estuarine in New Bakkhali. Here will you also enjoy the replica of Sundarban Forest. In new Bakkhali you Bakkhali you will fid the flora of Sundarban like Geua, Garan, Goal Pata, Hental, Sundari,Kankra, Harkoch kata, Pasur, Jhaupata and many types of mangrove trees.

if time permits visit to deer park & Crocodile Pond will Provide some different flavor.
